BIO

Out of Melbourne Australia, Macromantics is one girl with a lot to say - Romy Hoffman.

As fifteen year old guitarist in Ben Lee’s teen band Noise Addict, Macro first discovered Hip Hop on a trip to the US. Over the years she’s finely honed her MC skills, developing a unique style that reflects her eclectic taste and musical heritage.

Her debut album 'Moments In Movement' was release in Australia in 2006, and earned her positive reviews across the board. After a touring the country relentlessly for a year, playing all the major Australian festivals, seminal indie/punk label Kill Rock Stars picked up the release for the US. It's a perfect introduction into the mind and intrigue of Miss Macro.

Macromantics is a philosophical pop culture fiend. She packs plentiful punches with her rap songs that are as dark and spooky, as they are humorous and playful. She will have you thinking and dancing, simultaneously, in one swift motion. Accompanied by her DJ Amy, a Macromantics live show is explosive, proving Romy is an inimitable talent both onstage as well as in the studio.
